The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.

Join the Arts & Culture Council of Strathcona County to celebrate the Summer Solstice, share and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures and traditions and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

We will open the day with a pipe ceremony at 9:00 to welcome this new season.
Then, from 10:00 – 7:00 pm there will be an Indigenous Market, Dancers & Singers, guest speaker Roberta Alook, Kids’ Activities, Kokhum’s Corner, a Motorcycle Show ‘n’ Shine, a Feast and more!

We are honoured to make this Solstice celebration unique for Strathcona County and its residents with a safe learning and inclusive environment for the whole community.
