Thru Your Eyes - Presented by Park Power
Explore Strathcona County and Park Power are inviting residents to share images of Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park region - as they experience it - local moments, hidden gems, favourite businesses, nature, events, and everyday life. We want to see the community - thru your eyes. #ThruYourEyes2026
Submit photos, win prizes, support local
HOW IT WORKS:
Participants simply (1) share their photos on Facebook and / or Instagram; (2) tag Explore Strathcona County and Park Power; (3) using our branded hashtag #ThruYourEyes2026; and (4) upload their photo submissions via our convenient Photo Submission Link.
Each month, one contributor will win a $50 gift card* (or credit) to spend with a local business of their choice, or give to the charity of their choice, helping us further support local. *May be subject to some restrictions.
We are delighted to be supporting aspiring photographers - amateur or professional. Any photos shared on the Explore Strathcona County website(s) will be credited to the photographer and we will be building a gallery. It's a great opportunity to build your portfolio and some additional recognition.
Photo Categories -No Limit!
We don't want to limit your creative genius - please share what you love. Capture a photo that reflects your view of the community — local life, people, places, events, businesses, favourite restaurants, food & beverage, or nature. We're happy to accept photos in all categories.
*Participants must be the owner of the photo they are sharing and we will require media releases for any photos showing people's recognizable faces. See full contest rules.
Selection Criteria
Ultimately, this contest is about sharing all the best things our communities have to offer. We'll be selecting winning photos that (1) are connected to community spirit and (2) get engagement from our audience. Judges will be looking for:
- Authenticity and storytelling
- Creativity and composition
- Alignment with campaign values (local pride, connection, everyday moments)
- Engagement from others
