- Get your pumpkins at Creek Side Saskatoon Berry Farm - watch their Facebook page for seasonal announcements.
- Lamberry Ranch is open this weekend - September 26 & 27; they have cutest little lambs, potatoes, saskatoon berries and farm-fresh eggs.
- Keato Meadow Corn Maze near Fort Saskatchewan is open on weekends until Thanksgiving (and dogs are welcome!).
If you are prepared to drive a little further out - about 30 minutes from Sherwood Park is K3 Corn Maze and Family Farm (near Tofield); or head towards Bon Accord for Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm near Bon Accord offers a variety of family adventures.
Get Crafty
Take a flower arranging class! Green Thumb Kids is hosting a Floral Pumpkin Class, guests get to pick flowers in their u-pick farm and then assemble them in a pumpkin. Class is suitable for all 10 years and up.

If “trails + leaves = best day ever” is your slogan, this fits. Bike, hike, geocache, wander - explore. Just enjoy the shifting colours and being in nature. Try a nature scavenger hunt with the kids! Oktoberfest!
This one is 18+, so you’ll need to get a sitter, but it’s a tonne of fun! The annual celebration of beer, food and German culture takes place at the Strathcona Community Centre. Get tickets on Eventbrite - https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/octoberfest-2025-tickets-1628795203299
Halloween Fun
Get spooked at Spooky Strathma! Strathcona County Museum & Archives has put together a spook-tacular selection of events that are sure to entertain - drop in scavenger hunts, all ages dance party, spooky trivia, spooky paint night and more!
Take the kids to Trunk or Treat in Fort Saskatchewan - a fun alternative to knocking on houses, families visit creatively decorated vehicles and collect candy from local organizations. Attendees are invited to bring non-perishable donations for the Food Bank.
Take in Haunted at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre on select weekends in October (suitable for ages 12+).
K3 Field of Screams near Tofield is not recommended for young people or those with heart conditions, but if being terrified is your idea of a good time, this might be worth the trip! While you’re in the neighborhood, hit up Tilly’s in Tofield for pizza.
